“Our temples and monuments have always attracted and inspired me. The magnificent structures depict our rich cultural heritage and I wanted to bring them out in my style.”

“Though I have worked on different mediums, I developed a flair for the medium - pen & ink."

Priya Natarajan, is an accomplished artiste in painting. She, a graduate in science and a post graduate from Annamalai university has pursued art as a serious hobby. She has worked on various mediums, but her flair has been for sketching temples and this has become her distinctive style.

She evinced interest in the art from school days and used all her spare time in developing this talent. She was later trained under Loga Guru, a senior faculty of The Government College of Arts. She was admired for emulating artiste Shilpi's style and over the years has developed her own distinctive style. The first temple she inked was the Brihadeshwar temple in 1993, which her friends and family appreciated so much that she decided to specialise in this medium.
